Graduation Gifts

The right graduation gift marks the milestone and goes where the graduate is headed next, from a dorm to a first apartment to a first job. The best ones are still in use a year later.

At S. Feldman Housewares, a family-owned NYC shop on Madison Avenue since 1929, we have pulled together graduation gifts for the next move: dorm essentials, first-apartment pieces, travel accessories, and a few small luxuries worth keeping.

Why Shop Our Graduation Gift Collection

Our graduation collection features 341 handpicked items for high school grads, college graduates, advanced degree recipients, and young adults setting up their first place of their own. The names a graduate will keep using are here: Bialetti, Kikkerland, OXO, and Cereria Molla.

Thoughtful Picks for Their Next Chapter

First Apartment & Dorm Essentials

A graduate's first kitchen is usually bare. A Bialetti Moka Express, an OXO coffee grinder, a compact blender, sturdy mugs, and a good water bottle cover the morning routine from week one. Add the OXO kitchen gadgets and cookware that turn a dorm hot plate or a first stove into something workable. These are good graduation gifts for guys and for her, practical enough to use daily and nice enough to want to.

Travel Accessories for Post-Grad Adventures

The year after graduation moves fast: home, internships, a first job, and the trip they saved for. Tote bags, travel laundry bags, mini umbrellas, travel alarm clocks, handheld fans, travel-size candles, and hand cream fit in a carry-on and survive a year of moving around. For a graduation gift for a friend, sister, son, daughter, or colleague, these also work across a range of budgets.

Self-Care & Home Fragrance

After four years of deadlines and exams, the right gift slows the pace down. Scented candles and reed diffusers from Cereria Molla , plus hand creams and artisan soaps from Swedish Dream and Apotheke, make a dorm or first apartment feel settled. Polished, practical, and welcome for her, for him, or for any new graduate.

Keepsakes & Sentimental Gifts

Some graduation gifts are worth keeping long after the ceremony. A Canetti picture frame holds the ceremony photo, and a Bluetooth speaker, or a good reading lamp, earns a permanent spot on the nightstand or desk. Pair that frame with a Bialetti Moka, and the gift honors the day while setting up the kitchen.

How to Choose the Right Graduation Gift

• Match their next chapter: College, a first job, travel, or a new apartment shapes what will actually get used.
• Blend practical with personal: Pair an everyday essential with something meaningful or personal.
• Match budget to relationship: Close family often spends $100 and up, friends $25- to $75, and acquaintances under $25.
